When and where: Tango Tea Room, 7:00 PM. June 10, 2006

Notes compiled by: DC Tedrow

Those in attendance included Michael, Robert, and myself. Since no one else attended, we basically discussed how to structure the immigration piece I’d been working on. Michael and I decided to merge what he was writing with what I was writing. It was also decided that our list of demands would include fewer than ten items – perhaps eight or nine.

Robert let it drop that more businesses would be willing to advertise if they could see the May/June issue in its completed format. This gives great impetus to make sure the May/June issue is superb. It also makes more sense to approach people about distribution spots when we have the May/June issue complete.

There are still gaping holes in the content. Submissions deadline was pushed back to Monday morning, June 12.

No future meeting was planned at this meeting.

Future topics to discuss:

To prove that beggars can be choosers, we still need to discuss standards for advertisements, as well as other sources of funding. Although she did not attend, Sandra raised several valid concerns about this.

Benefit show? Something else to consider once the May/June issue is complete.

We also need to bring more women into the fold, as well as address LGBT issues. Maybe consider throwing the invitation out to academics as well.
