At long last, we are pleased to announce that the fourth issue of Turning the Tide has been sent to the presses, and we hope to see hard copies of it sometime this week.  This issue deals almost exclusively with abolitionist (anti-death penalty) efforts in Texas. Go check it out:

The PDF runs to 14 meg, so you should right click to save.

Even though we'll still give these out for free, we've included a suggested donation price on the cover of this issue. We've done this because 1.) this issue is 8 pages longer than previous issues, and thus was more expensive to print; and 2.) we're trying to raise money for the collective, as well as see if we can't establish a radical bookstore in the center where Tango Tea Room is at.

The Empire and Freedom theme fell short, but we did receive some submissions which bear on it. Hopefully we'll try that again with the next issue.

Look forward to us resuming meetings. Additionally, CHR Media now has its own website, meaning we can stop posting Far Out Films, etc. announcements on the Turning the Tide site.

As always, if you have any interest in getting involved with our publication, please drop us a line. We desparately need more women involved.
